Caltex Servo!

On Saturday October 5th we’re protesting at Caltex service stations across Australia!

Caltex is owned by the US corporation Chevron, which operates in and partially owns the largest Israeli-claimed natural gas fields in the Mediterranean Sea. This is where about 70% of Israel’s power comes from. With its extraction and offshore pipelines, Chevron funnels millions of dollars into Israel making it a partner in Israel’s energy apartheid, military blockade of Gaza and the illegal exploitation of Palestinian land and natural resources.

As apart of the blockade on Gaza, Israel has destroyed energy infrastructure, repeatedly bombing power plants and depriving Palestinians of adequate fuel supply. For a year the supply of electricity in Gaza has been used as leverage against the population, where it has been reduced or shut off multiple times in violation of International law.

Apartheid is expensive to maintain and we have to collectively hit it where it hurts - the pocket!

Boycotts can be a tool for liberation. Targeting companies like Chevron creates substantial pressure for corporate accountability and draws a huge amount of media attention which can amplifying the impact of the BDS movement.
