Human Rights Series: Freedom for Palestine

Sydney, NSW

UTS Students for Humanity present the first of our Human Rights Series - an important discussion about the freedom for Palestine!

The struggle for justice in Palestine has been an issue oft-forgotten in mass media. With the rapid growth of support from the West of Israel's gross violations of human rights violations against Palestinians, this event is created to raise awareness of the ongoing fight for self-determination and begin the conversation about Palestine, on campus.

This is not a matter of religion or culture, but a matter of human rights. The human rights of Palestinians peoples have been undermined, abused and ignored decades after the Catastrophe (Nakba) that marked the beginning of ongoing displacement and dispossession of Palestinian people.

Join us as we discuss the issue of Palestine and the importance of fighting for the complete freedom for Palestine.

Speakers will be announced this week!

Light refreshments will also be provided. This event is open to UTS students, staff, students from other universities and members of the public!
