In 2019, the Australian Friends of Palestine Association (AFOPA) celebrates 15 years of advocating for peace in Palestine.

Some achievements from our 15 years:

• Contributed well over $180,000 to supporting humanitarian and advocacy projects in Palestine

• Conducted over 8 years of weekly campaign actions which have distributed over 190,000 leaflets in South Australia - see more about our campaigns.

• Established Australia’s annual Edward Said Memorial Lecture and hosted dozens of visiting international guests on speaking tours to Australia

• Supported important national public opinion polls on the issue of Palestine

• Worked positively with local and interstate community organisations on Palestine advocacy in Australia

• Conducted hundreds of local events and activities to educate and inform the Australian community about Palestine - here’s some highlights from our 2018 year of work.

• Grown an active and supportive membership base from all around Australia in support of human rights and a just peace in Palestine
