Mourning in the Morning / Smoking Ceremony
When: 26 January 2025, 7:30 AM – 8:45 AM
Where: Elder Park / Tarntanya Wama, King William Street, Adelaide
What: Could a resurgence in First Nations languages help re-write Australia’s national story? And are open hearts and minds, courage and conviction all that are needed to underpin it? Gather at 7.30am for a welcome to Kaurna country, followed by First Nations speakers, musicians, dancers, and interactive activities grounded in respect. The event will conclude at 8.45am with a smoking ceremony by revered Elder Uncle Moogy Sumner.

Survival Day – North Haven

Where: North Haven Surf Life Saving Club, 44 Australia II Avenue, North Haven, SA
What: Welcome to Country & Smoking Ceremony with Petiola Wilson & Yidaki featuring Michael Connelly at 9am.  Live Music by Ellie Lovegrove and other incredible artists, Stallholders & Activities. Explore and engage with our amazing community as well as a free Bacon & Egg Breakfast from 9:30 AM. We’re still accepting sponsorships and stallholder expressions of interest – Email: portadmin@kurayerlo.org.au.

Mt barker Survival Day – REIGNITE OUR SPIRIT
When: 26 January 2025, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Where: Mt barker, Peramangk Council
What: We are working hard and got a fantastic lineup of performing artists including a full band! Solo Singers! Political Speakers! Poets! Dance! We got workshops,stalls,multiple activities for children including a sprinkler frame to cool down on the day! And a broad variety of First Nations community based artists bringing their cultural creations direct to you! Flyer with event details and event program to be released this week so please kungun up! Stay tuned and join us on Survival Day January 26th 2025 to come together on a day of significance in our history and stand with us as Allies.
