with Olfat Mahmoud: Tears for Tarshiha

Sydney, NSW

Olfat Mahmoud will be in Sydney to talk about the present day plight of Palestinian and Syrian refugees in Lebanon. She will also talk about the Palestinian Right of Return on which her new book Tears for Tarshiha is based. In the book which is being launched across Australia, Olfat tells the story of her career as a registered nurse, peace activist and director of the Palestinian Women's Humanitarian Organisation (PWHO).

Tears for Tarshiha highlights Olfat’s life mission – to fulfil the dream of her parents and grandparents to return to their hometown, Tarshiha in Palestine.

Tickets include Middle Eastern Mezze with a main dish of chicken on mash with veggies, mushroom sauce and rice. Vegetarians can be catered for. Tea and coffee included.
