Protest Israel's massacre in Gaza

Melbourne, VIC

We invite all supporters of justice to stand with us this Saturday at 2pm, State Library [Melbourne] to condemn the Israeli army's latest massacre where protesters at the Gaza border were gunned down by Israeli snipers and troops. We affirm our solidarity and pride in the bravery and resilience of protesting Gazan refugees.

This march and camp in which will continue for six weeks recreates the movement of refugees from now Israeli cities to Gaza. Residents of Gaza are demanding their Right of Return to these erased and ethnically cleansed cities in commemoration of 70 years of Nakba, or Catastrophe, which marks the beginning of genocide and zionist occupation.

We demand the expulsion of the Israeli ambassador of Australia. We call on Australian politicians to break political and economic ties and condemn the massacre in Gaza.

Organisations that have endorsed the protest include:

  • Solidarity for Palestine - Melbourne
  • Palestinian Community Association
  • Islamic Council of Victoria
  • United for Palestine
  • Socialist Alternative
  • Australians for Palestine
  • Al Quds - Melbourne

All community organisations in support of Palestinian self determination are encouraged to endorse this event.
