Hands off Jerusalem, don’t move the embassy!

Sydney, NSW

The Liberal government is following the Trump administration and considering moving the Australian embassy to Jerusalem following the US move in May.

The Israeli prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, said in a tweet he had spoken to Morrison about the proposal.

“I spoke today with [Scott Morrison]. He informed me that he is considering officially recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel & moving the Australian embassy to Jerusalem. I’m very thankful to him for this. We will continue to strengthen ties between [Australia and Israel].

The day the US embassy moved, 80 Palestinians were murdered by Israeli snipers on the border of Gaza during a peaceful protest. Moving the Australian embassy would be an explicit endorsement of the Israeli state's ongoing ethnic cleansing of Palestine.

Join us to demand the embassy to not be moved, and demand that the Australian government end it's support for Israeli Apartheid.
