'Resistance is Remembrance'
A night dedicated to remembering and raising awareness about Palestine's forgotten people.
An amazing lineup of speakers to share their take on Palestine. The night will also feature moving stories from some Palestinian elders who will share powerful moments in which they experienced in Palestine during their youthful years.
- Sara Saleh is an Arab-Australian human rights and refugee advocate, activist, creative artist and regular media commentator.
- Ibrahim Abdo is a Palestinian Australian who was voluntarily smuggled into Gaza through the Rafah tunnels in 2012.
- Sameeha Elwan is an English literature graduate from the Islamic University of Gaza and is currently a PhD candidate at Murdoch University.
- Mahmoud (Abu Hani) Sultan is a Palestinian Australian who is the epitome of resistance and survival. Abu Hani was born in Yaffa, Palestine 1944.
- Randa Abdel-Fattah has worked as a lawyer, human rights advocate and community volunteer with different human rights and migrant and refugee resource organisations.
