In his memoir, Balcony Over Jerusalem, John Lyons chronicles the six years he lived in Israel and in doing so offers a scathing account of the region’s treatment of the Palestinians.

In her book, Draw Your Weapons, Sarah Sentilles explores her response to photographs of Abu Ghraib.

Together these two thoughtful writers explore making war and the principle of peace.
