Beyond The Veil

In 2011 Manal al-Sharif was jailed for driving a car in Saudi Arabia. Her memoir, Daring to Drive, is account of her arrest and her political campaign.

Australian-born Amal Awad set out to explore the lives of Arab women in Australia and the Middle East, the result was Beyond Veiled Clichés.

Join them as they consider the worlds of contemporary Arab women.
