AFOPA Palestinian Youth Internship (Honorarium Paid)

Are you Palestinian, under 30 years of age, and passionate about justice for Palestinians in their homeland?

Do you want to contribute to enhancing the Palestine solidarity movement while also strengthening your research, community engagement, leadership and advocacy skills?

AFOPA’s Palestinian Youth Internship provides the opportunity to develop practical research skills and experience in the areas of community engagement, youth leadership and advocacy.

You will work alongside AFOPA staff and the executive committee for a period of 6 months, 7.5 hours per week. You will receive an honorarium of $5,000 for your participation in the program.

Your duties will include:

  • Developing, with your mentor, a 6-month workplan

  • Familiarising yourself with AFOPA’s strategic priorities and focus areas

  • Working on specific projects that enhance AFOPA’s engagement with Palestinian community members and in particular with young Palestinians

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be of Palestinian background

  • Be highly committed to the Palestinian cause

  • Have good communication, interpersonal and time management abilities.

  • Have a strong interest in community engagement and the role that young people can play in community leadership and advocacy

The internship will start at a mutually agreed time.
