Briefing Note - February 2018

This Briefing Note reviews developments in the Israeli military detention system for children and covers the period up to February 2018. This Note includes:

• the latest detention figures from the Israeli Prison Service;
• analysis of recent evidence relating to the arrest, transfer and interrogation of children;
• evidence relating to the provision of legal rights;
• information on the transfer and detention of children outside the West Bank;
• two systems of law applied in the West Bank based on national identity;
