Australian solidarity with Ahed Tamimi
This week, the global Days of Action to Free Ahed Tamimi and all Palestinian Prisoners saw dozens of actions around the world. Below we highlight Australia's contributions to the call to Free Ahed.
ADELAIDE, SOUTH AUSTRALIA
27 Jan 2018: AFOPA (Australian Friends of Palestine Assoc.) activists dedicated their 373rd protest last weekend to 17 year old Ahed Tamimi, currently held in an Israeli gaol and subject to inhumane and coercive conditions aimed at breaking her spirit. Despite the 41 degree heat shoppers in Adelaide city's Rundle Mall showed great interest in Ahed's plight and terrific support for Palestine.
PERTH, WESTERN AUSTRALIA
21 Jan 2018: FOPWA (Friends of Palestine WA) activists also protested the arrest and detention of Ahed Tamimi with an action at Murray Street Mall in Perth.
SYDNEY, NEW SOUTH WALES
13 Jan 2018: Activists from the Palestine Action Group in Sydney protested at Sydney Town Hall earlier in January with a big crowd of supporters.
